The Scart or Euro connector was introduced to enable ease of connection between Audio-Visual equipment, and has been largely successful in providing a compatible and widely accepted standard.
However, it is often necessary to construct custom leads to overcome the limitations of equipment which only has one such connector, or to provide an interface with older sets which have alternative sockets, etc.
To assist with the identification of the signals present and to ease manufacture of such leads, refer to the diagram / table below:
